Zambia’s Barbra Banda Makes Olympic History with Record-Breaking Hat Tricks

Barbra Banda of Zambia has achieved a phenomenal feat, becoming the first player ever to score a hat trick in back-to-back Olympic Games. Her incredible performance includes three career hat tricks across two different Olympics:

– Tokyo 2020 vs. China
– Tokyo 2020 vs. Netherlands
– Paris 2024 vs. Australia

Banda’s accomplishment not only cements her place in Olympic history but also makes her the top African goal scorer in the Olympics, surpassing the legendary Mercy Akide, who scored four goals. This outstanding achievement puts her alongside Domingo Tarasconi, who also scored three hat tricks in Olympic football back in 1928.

So, who will be the next African superstar to follow in Barbra Banda’s footsteps?
