Wizkid Reveals He Recorded His Biggest Hits While Sitting Down

Wizkid sets new record for longest gap between NO. 1 songs in Nigeria

Nigerian superstar Wizkid has shared that he recorded all his biggest hits while sitting down, revealing that creating hits comes naturally to him without any need for stress. In a viral video, the Grammy-winning artist highlighted that tracks like “Holla At Your Boy,” “Soco,” “Joro,” and “Ojuelegba” were all produced in a relaxed state.

Wizkid explained:

“All my biggest songs from ‘Holla At Your Boy’ to ‘Soco’, ‘Joro’, ‘Ojuelegba’, I recorded them sitting down. You [P2J] know how my things be for Lagos. You’ve been in my house. You know what I do. I’m chilling. You get me, no stress.”

The artist also expressed his disdain for promoting his music and engaging in media interviews, stating that he prefers to let his music speak for itself:

“You see promo, I hate doing that sht. You know press, I hate doing all that sht, bro. I know exactly what the people want. [Producer] P2J is the only n*gga that understands me.”

Wizkid emphasized that in today’s globalized world, authenticity is key, and there’s no need to put on a show or rely on traditional methods of promotion.
