Afrobeats singer Anthony Victor, better known as Victony, recently shared his personal experience with heartbreak during an appearance on the podcast “Is This Seat Taken?” hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam. Reflecting on a painful chapter in his past, Victony recounted the emotional turmoil he endured after discovering his ex-girlfriend’s infidelity.
Victony revealed that his ex-girlfriend had deceitfully presented another man as merely a friend, only for him to later uncover the truth about their relationship. He shared:
“She [my ex-girlfriend] was talking to this other guy and I was aware. She was telling me about this other guy. Me, very open-minded, I was like, this guy was just her friend. She told me he was her friend but his name just always came up. And I will be like, what kind of friend is this one?”
The painful realization left Victony feeling foolish:
“At the end of the day, it turned out he was not her friend. That was very mad because when I realized everything that was going on, I felt very stupid.”
The 23-year-old singer noted that this heartbreak occurred when he was much younger, emphasizing the lasting impact of the experience.
