“They Want to Kill Me” — Blaqbonez Alleges Threats Amid Ongoing Feud with Odumodublvck

Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has sparked concern among fans after claiming that his life is under threat, amid a heated and increasingly personal beef with fellow rapper Odumodublvck.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Blaqbonez responded to a fan’s concern with a cryptic but unsettling message. The fan, reacting to Blaqbonez’s earlier tweet that suggested he wouldn’t spend up to 15 years in the industry, pleaded, “I no understand, no kpai o. Abeg.”

In response, Blaqbonez tweeted:
“Them say them go kill me, but I don record enough for 3 more albums, no fear, because rap actually hard for some people.”

According to the rapper, he has already recorded enough music for three albums, should anything happen to him, a statement that’s left fans worried and speculating about the seriousness of the threats.

This alarming claim comes during an ongoing public spat between Blaqbonez and Odumodublvck, which reached a boiling point over the weekend.

The rift reportedly began after Blaqbonez took shots at Odumodublvck in his verse on ‘Who’s Really Rapping’, a recent collaboration with rapper A-Q. What started as subliminal jabs quickly evolved into direct insults as both rappers clashed on social media.

Odumodublvck fired back, referencing their past work together and writing:
“If rap hard for me, your last hit no go dey with me. I’m everything you want to be… Your spirit is weak.”

Blaqbonez responded, urging Odumodublvck to settle their issues with bars instead of online outbursts:
“Enter studio and get TF out my mentions. This no be Twitter warfare. And stop calling the whole industry crying about me. No be so Kendrick Lamar dey do. Hip-hop legacy.”

But Odumodublvck dismissed the idea of keeping it on wax. He declared that the feud had moved beyond rap, posting:
“You want to make it about studio. Na lie. We go meet again for street. You know the level. This is not a rap beef. Na me and you for this world.”

What initially appeared to be a competitive rap rivalry is now looking more serious, with Blaqbonez’s reference to threats adding a darker undertone to the feud.

While neither artist has shared concrete details about the source of the threats, fans have taken to social media to express concern for Blaqbonez’s safety and call for de-escalation.

The feud marks one of the most intense hip-hop rivalries in Nigeria in recent memory, and with both artists refusing to back down, it remains to be seen how this standoff will unfold.

For now, fans are hoping this will remain within the realm of music and not spiral further.
