April 3: Marc Brys is officially named as the new head coach of Cameroon by the Sports Ministry.
May 21: Marc Brys is sacked and suspended from his position as head coach by the Cameroonian FA, led by Samuel Eto’o.
Marc hasn’t even played a single game.
This suspension and sacking are due to tensions between the FA and the Ministry of Sports in Cameroon.
Marc Brys had been imposed by the Minister of Sports.
There was no approval or consultation from Samuel Eto’o, which angered him.
FIFA has been informed of this decision.
Cameroon will play Cape Verde and Angola next month in the World Cup qualifiers.
Cameroon has only this week to resolve the issue peacefully, or they risk a ban from FIFA.
Once again, don’t mix football with politics.
