Tems’ Grammy-Winning Hit ‘Love Me Jeje’ Earns RIAA Gold Certification

Tems continues to make waves on the global stage as her Grammy-winning single ‘Love Me Jeje’ reaches a new milestone, it’s now eligible for RIAA gold certification after surpassing 500,000 units in sales in the United States.

The news was confirmed by Chart Data, a reliable source for music chart updates, marking yet another major achievement for the Nigerian star. This comes just three months after Tems added four RIAA certifications to her already impressive list, solidifying her status as one of the most certified Nigerian artists in history.

‘Love Me Jeje’ is not only a commercial success but also a critical one, the song earned Tems her second Grammy Award at the 67th Grammy Awards, winning in the Best African Song Performance category. The hit has become a global anthem, further establishing Tems as a key figure in the international rise of African music.

Her influence extends beyond the charts. Tems recently stunned on the red carpet at the 2025 MET Gala, where she used the moment to speak on the diversity of African music. In an interview, she emphasized that African music goes beyond just Afrobeats and that the world should be ready to embrace more genres emerging from the continent.

Tems’ dominance in the U.S. market is undeniable. She has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Beyoncé, Drake, and Future. Her debut album ‘Born In The Wild’ features American rap icon J. Cole, a partnership that led to a joint performance at this year’s Dreamville Festival.

Adding to her accolades, Tems was recently nominated for the American Music Awards and took home the Record of the Year award at the 17th Headies.

With every milestone, Tems continues to raise the bar for African artists globally, and ‘Love Me Jeje’ is yet another golden chapter in her incredible journey.
