Nigerian music powerhouse Kizz Daniel, revered for hits like “Buga” and “Lie”, has dropped some raw industry truths. In a series of posts, the artist called out the obsession with achieving number 1 positions on streaming platforms, advocating for a shift in focus toward creating meaningful art.
Kizz Daniel emphasized that artists should stop relying on metrics manipulated by algorithms or bots. According to him:
“Stop chasing number 1 songs, it’s meh now. Most of those numbers don’t align across platforms… Focus on your craft.”
