Nigerian singer Asake is at the center of controversy as a show promoter, Tunde Babalola, has made bold claims regarding the organization of the Lungu Boy World Tour.
Asake’s Lungu Boy World Tour has been a major career milestone, supporting his third studio album, Lungu Boy, which was released on August 9, 2024. The album boasts collaborations with global stars like Wizkid, Travis Scott, Stormzy, Central Cee, and Ludmilla.
However, recent discussions online have raised questions about the tour’s management. Tunde Babalola, who identified himself as a former team member, has alleged that he played a critical role in ensuring the success of the European leg of the tour.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote:
“Shoutout to me for single-handedly making sure the European leg of this tour was completed against all odds. Keyword: single-handed. ME. You would be a slave to Live Nation, period, but for me. Thanks for my plaque @livenation @creativeartistagency.”
He further stated:
“We are going to stick to verifiable facts—no hate around here. You can’t sack a boss. For all the non-the-wiser gang, I’m a boss and have been before he made a dime. The issue is, he’s a pathological liar and a user, and we are holding him accountable. That’s all it is.”
As of now, Asake and his management have not publicly responded to these allegations. The claims have sparked discussions among fans and industry insiders about the complexities behind major international tours.
