Elsie Evelyn Avemegah, mother of popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale, has made a public plea for help, claiming her son has neglected her.
In a video from 2022, Elsie lamented Shatta Wale’s absence from her life following her eviction from her home. Now, in 2024, the 70-year-old has shared a new video expressing her struggles with deteriorating health, including hypertension, without any support from her son.
Elsie revealed that Shatta Wale has been out of touch with her for over ten years, unaware of her living conditions or health issues. Currently, she is under the care of her sister and niece, Sharita Aheteku, due to her health challenges.
In her heartfelt appeal, she stated:
“My name is Elsie Evelyn Avemegah. I am the biological mother of Shatta Wale. I haven’t spoken with my son for about 10 or more years now. He doesn’t know where I live and what I eat but now my health is dropping and I’m seriously healed.”
Elsie also called on the public for financial assistance to help her through this difficult time.
