Shaboozey previews collaboration with Burna Boy at Grammy after-party

Following his debut appearance at the 67th Grammy Awards, country music sensation Shaboozey teased an exciting collaboration with Afrobeats giant Burna Boy during the Grammy after-party.

Speculation about a potential collaboration between the two artists first surfaced in late 2024 when pictures of them in the studio together made rounds online. Now, Shaboozey has given fans a glimpse of what’s to come.

The Nigerian-born country star, whose hit single ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ dominated the charts in 2024, earned five Grammy nominations this year, including Song of the Year and Best New Artist. Meanwhile, Burna Boy scored his 11th Grammy nomination, with ‘Higher’ competing in the Best African Music Performance category.

This upcoming track is set to be another groundbreaking fusion of Afrobeats and country music, showcasing the global influence of both genres.

For Burna Boy, 2025 is shaping up to be a massive year. He is set to release his highly anticipated eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, which has already been teased with singles like ‘Higher’ and ‘Bundle By Bundle’.

Additionally, the Grammy-winning star has announced an extensive European tour, with a historic headline show at the 81,000-capacity Stade de France.

With this collaboration on the way, both Shaboozey and Burna Boy are set to push the boundaries of global music even further.
