In a standout achievement, Seyi Vibez’s ‘NAHAMciaga’ EP has emerged as the most streamed project in Nigeria during the first half of 2024, selling an impressive 91,000 units across major platforms.

The music landscape in Nigeria has seen a flurry of successful album releases in 2024, setting the stage for what promises to be a competitive Album of the Year race. Seyi Vibez, building on his strong finish in 2023, continued his momentum with the release of ‘NAHAMciaga’, which quickly captured listeners’ attention and topped streaming charts.

According to data from TurnTable Charts, Seyi Vibez’s fourth project ‘NAHAMciaga’ led the pack with 91,000 units in sales, securing its position as the most streamed album across platforms like Apple Music, Spotify, Boomplay, Audiomack, and YouTube.

Following closely behind is Kizz Daniel’s ‘Thankz Alot (TZA)’ EP at number two with 78,000 units, propelled by hit tracks including ‘Twe Twe’, ‘Too Busy To Be Bae’, and ‘Sooner’. Shallipopi’s debut album ‘Presido La Pluto’ claimed the third spot with 73,000 units, while Odumodublvck’s ‘Eziokwu’ and Asake’s ‘Work of Art’ rounded out the top five with 68,000 and 59,000 units respectively.

Wizkid also reinforced his status as a top-tier artist with his ‘S2’ EP, securing the eighth position with 39,000 streams despite featuring only four songs.

Notably, Seyi Vibez and Shallipopi stood out with two entries each in the top rankings. Seyi Vibez’s collaborative effort with Vibez INC landed at number nine with 38,000 units, while Shallipopi’s ‘Shakespopi’ claimed the tenth spot with 35,000 units.

The diversity and success of these albums highlight the dynamism of Nigeria’s music industry, showcasing the influence and talent of its artists on both local and global stages. As the year progresses, these albums continue to resonate with audiences, shaping the musical landscape and setting new benchmarks for excellence.
