Spotify has unveiled its Global Impact List spotlighting the top 30 Nigerian songs (and songs featuring Nigerian artists) that made waves beyond Nigeria in the first half of 2025. These tracks, measured by global streams on the platform, reflect Afrobeats’ growing reach and how Nigerian artists continue to shape global pop culture.

Rema Leads the Chart
Rema tops the list with “Baby (Is It A Crime)”, a single that creatively samples Sade’s iconic classic Is It A Crime. His global appeal continues to soar, reinforcing his position as one of Nigeria’s biggest music exports and the first Afrobeats act to hit 1 billion Spotify streams on a single song (Calm Down).
Davido Holds the Most Entries
Global superstar Davido dominates the list with nine entries, thanks largely to the international performance of tracks from his fifth studio album 5ive. Songs like With You, Offa Me, and Titanium showcase his continued crossover success and his ability to connect with artists like Chris Brown and Victoria Monét.
Burna Boy Stays Consistent
Burna Boy follows closely with five songs on the list. His collaboration with Travis Scott on TaTaTa and the buzz from his eighth studio album No Sign of Weakness keeps his global standing firm.
Rising Stars Make an Impact
The list also reflects the rise of new talents. Fast-rising artist Chella lands at No. 4 with My Darling, while gospel singer Lawrence Oyor breaks through with Favour, a viral hit turned international success.

Minz also makes a notable appearance through his feature on Ivorian artist Himra’s Number 1, highlighting the cross-border appeal of Nigerian talent.
Other notable names on the list include Shallipopi, Asake, Ayra Starr, ODUMODUBLVCK, Adekunle Gold, and Teni, each contributing to Afrobeats’ continued expansion into new markets.
