Controversial Nigerian singer Portable recently took to social media to publicly criticize Davido for not fulfilling a promise to feature on one of his new songs. The fallout between the two artists traces back to a dispute that occurred in Atlanta earlier in June 2024.
According to reports, the disagreement began when Portable accused Davido of giving him poor advice during a dinner meeting in Atlanta, United States. Following this, Davido unfollowed Portable on Instagram, signalling the end of their cordial relationship.
On Sunday, Portable shared his latest music release on Instagram and revealed that the track was originally intended to include a verse from Davido. However, he stated that Davido did not follow through on his promise. Portable expressed his frustration, writing:
“Na who helps you be your helper; who promises you fit change mind. As @davido no gree give me verse on this song, I don kuku drop myself. Star. Don’t beg to shine. Who go help you no go stress you.”
This public airing of grievances underscores the ongoing tension between the two artists, who were once on good terms.
