Nigerian rap icon Phyno has announced the return of his highly anticipated Phyno Fest concert to Enugu in November 2025.
The award-winning rapper confirmed the news during a visit to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, where he expressed admiration for the ongoing developments in the state.
“The state governor is doing an amazing job. Everywhere looks so different, and I’m proud of him,” Phyno shared in an interview outside the governor’s office. He also revealed that part of his visit was to discuss plans for the upcoming concert, which has become a major event in the region.
Since its inception, Phyno Fest has been a massive success, consistently selling out the 60,000-capacity Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. The event has grown to become one of the biggest music festivals in the Southeast, drawing top-tier Nigerian artists and thousands of fans.
Phyno, known for his seamless Igbo rap style, continues to shape Nigerian hip-hop. In 2024, he reinforced his dominance with the release of his album Full Time Job, featuring collaborations with Burna Boy, Flavour, Cheque, and more. The project received widespread praise for its fusion of hip-hop and Afrobeats.
Beyond his own career, Phyno has paved the way for rising Eastern rappers like Jeriq and Aguero Banks, who have cited him as a major inspiration and have also sold out the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
As the countdown to Phyno Fest 2025 begins, fans are eager to see which superstar artists will join the lineup for another unforgettable night in the Coal City.
