Nigerian producer-turned-artist Pheelz has reached a new career milestone as his 2022 hit single ‘Finesse’ featuring BNXN has been officially certified Gold in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
This marks Pheelz’s first-ever Gold certification in the U.S., a major achievement for the hitmaker whose music has gained international recognition. ‘Finesse’ became a global sensation, charting on the Billboard Global 200 and the U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart, further cementing his status as a rising force in Afrobeats.
Released on March 3, 2022, ‘Finesse’ quickly went viral, driven by its infectious melody, catchy lyrics, and the #FolakeChallenge on TikTok, which helped propel the song to mainstream success. Produced by Miichkel, the track has since amassed over 180 million Spotify streams and even earned Pheelz a BET Awards Red Carpet performance in 2022.

The song was later included in his 2023 EP ‘Pheelz Good,’ which also delivered hits like ‘Electricity’ featuring Davido and ‘Stand By You.’
Since transitioning from a producer, working with Olamide, Fireboy DML, and Davido, to a full-fledged artist, Pheelz has established himself as one of Afrobeats’ most consistent hitmakers.
The momentum continued in 2024, as he released the second installment of ‘Pheelz Good’ and collaborated with Usher on the track ‘Ruin,’ which earned him a Best Afrobeats nomination at the 2024 MTV VMAs.
With his first U.S. Gold certification, Pheelz continues to prove his artistry on the global stage, solidifying his position as one of Afrobeats’ most exciting talents.
