The ongoing feud between the Okoye brothers has taken another dramatic turn, with Peter Okoye denying accusations that he is responsible for their older brother Jude Okoye’s legal woes.
Paul vs. Peter: The Accusations
On Friday, March 1, 2025, Paul Okoye publicly blamed his twin brother Peter for Jude’s legal troubles. Jude Okoye, the former manager of P-Square, is currently facing a ₦1.38 billion fraud charge by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and has been remanded in prison pending his bail hearing in March.
While addressing the press, Paul stated:
“Let’s call a spade a spade. Peter is the one putting Jude through this. He is the one putting him in prison, and I’m here to bring him out.”
Peter Okoye’s Response
In response, Peter’s manager, Emem Kush, refuted Paul’s claims, insisting that Peter has no connection to Jude’s legal case.
“This case is between the EFCC and Jude Okoye, based on their investigation. Peter Okoye has nothing to do with it. He did not drag anybody to the EFCC. The petition was against a company receiving funds on Jude’s behalf, and Peter knew nothing about it.”
A History of Feud and Fallout
The Okoye brothers’ feud dates back to 2015, when tensions within P-Square became public. After splitting in 2017, they reunited briefly in 2022, releasing songs like Jaiye and Find Somebody. However, in August 2024, Paul confirmed their final split, reigniting their long-standing rivalry.
Paul has since accused Peter of petitioning the EFCC against him and Jude, leading to their legal troubles. However, Peter maintains that his petition was directed at exposing betrayals within their family, particularly involving Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
With Jude’s bail ruling set for March 3, the tension between the Okoye brothers shows no sign of easing anytime soon.
