The long-standing feud between Paul and Peter Okoye of the defunct music duo P-Square has taken a new turn amid their elder brother Jude Okoye’s legal troubles. Following Jude’s arrest and arraignment on money laundering charges, Paul Okoye has publicly accused his twin brother Peter of being responsible for their brother’s predicament.

Speaking to the press after Jude’s bail hearing on February 28, 2025, Paul didn’t hold back, insisting that Peter played a key role in Jude’s legal woes.
“The truth is, reports are making it look like Jude is a fraud, but let’s call a spade a spade. Peter is the one putting Jude through this. Peter is doing this and putting him in prison; I’m here to bring him out. I don’t deny that Peter is my brother, that has nothing to do with it. If they say Jude is guilty of these crimes, then Peter is guilty and Paul is guilty,” Paul said.
Jude’s Legal Battle Continues
Jude Okoye was arraigned on seven counts of money laundering, with allegations of handling ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. He has since pleaded not guilty to all charges.
During Friday’s bail hearing, the prosecution opposed bail, arguing that Jude was a flight risk. However, his lawyer Inibehe Effiong countered, emphasizing his client’s full cooperation with authorities. He also assured the court that Paul Rudeboy Okoye would stand as surety for his brother.
Justice Alexander Owoeye directed Paul to submit his documents as part of the bail process and scheduled the bail ruling for March 3, 2025, while the trial is set to begin on April 14, 2025. Until then, Jude remains in police custody.
With family tensions running high and Jude’s fate hanging in the balance, this latest twist adds another chapter to the ongoing drama within the Okoye family.
