Afrobeats sensation Omah Lay is officially set to release his highly anticipated sophomore album, ‘Clarity of Mind’, on May 16, 2025. The announcement came through his record label KeyQaad’s Instagram handle, confirming the project as the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut album, Boy Alone.
In the lead-up to the album, Omah Lay has already treated fans to ‘Holy Ghost’, one of the most-streamed songs on Apple Music Nigeria in 2024. He also dropped ‘Moving’, alongside collaborations with rising star Kaestyle and renowned DJ Spinall.
The journey to Clarity of Mind hasn’t been without setbacks. In a candid interview on the Zang Sang Show, Omah Lay revealed that he had to scrap an entire album after an artist he admired allegedly stole his unique sound and released an album with it. Determined to craft something even greater, he went back to the studio, promising that Clarity of Mind will be the greatest album in Afrobeats history.
Since breaking into the mainstream with his 2020 EP ‘Get Layd’, Omah Lay has established himself as one of the leading voices in Afrobeats. From winning the Headies Next Rated award in 2021 to consistently delivering hit songs, he has mastered the art of blending soulful melodies with deeply personal storytelling.
With Clarity of Mind, Omah Lay is set to further solidify his place as one of the most influential artists of his generation. Fans can expect another masterpiece as the countdown to May 16 begins.
