Eke explained that she opened the account due to the bank’s sponsorship of the reality show and her account manager’s advice, despite knowing about the bank’s issues . She expressed regret and blamed herself for not being cautious.
The Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) has begun the liquidation process of Heritage Bank, starting with verification and payment of depositors with N5 million and below Eke has submitted a notice to the NDIC, hoping to retrieve her funds. However, her fate remains uncertain.
