Afrobeats star Kizz Daniel has revealed that he recently suffered a massive loss in the studio, over 600 unreleased songs wiped out after his work station crashed.
The shocking revelation came via a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, where the hitmaker shared the devastating news. Despite efforts to retrieve the lost files, he noted that he’s still committed to putting out music for his fans.

“Lost 600 songs after my work station crashed… still dropping regardless,” he posted.
To put it into perspective, 600 songs could fill 60 full-length albums, a staggering amount of unreleased material lost in one go. Still, Kizz Daniel isn’t letting the setback slow him down.
The singer recently released his new 7-track project ‘Unkle K (Lemon Chase)’, featuring collaborations with Fola, Bella Shmurda, Odumodublvck, and Runtown. The EP continues to showcase the signature charm and relatability that have made him one of Afrobeats’ most consistent hitmakers.
In a follow-up post, Kizz Daniel explained that relatability is his top priority when making music, a theme that runs deep in his catalog.

“The most important ingredient in my music is relatability. It doesn’t matter who produces it or the genre, people need to feel seen,” he shared.
That formula has worked wonders for him. From his breakout single ‘Woju’ in 2014 to more recent chart-toppers like ‘Twe Twe’, Kizz Daniel has built a career on music that speaks to everyday people. ‘Twe Twe’ was even named TurnTable Chart’s No. 1 Song of 2024, marking his second year-end chart-topper after ‘Buga’ dominated in 2022.
Even with the setback of losing hundreds of songs, Kizz Daniel remains undeterred, a true testament to his resilience and creativity.
Fans can only hope that some of those lost tracks can still be recovered. But until then, Kizz Daniel is pushing forward, proving once again why he’s one of Afrobeats’ most trusted hitmakers.
