Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has officially returned with a brand-new project titled Uncle K (Lemon Chase), a 7-track EP that reaffirms his reputation as one of the genre’s most consistent and versatile hitmakers.
Originally slated for release in November 2024, the project was delayed following a personal loss. Now, with Uncle K, Kizz Daniel delivers a deeply personal yet party-ready body of work that blends his signature infectious melodies with emotional depth and rich cultural textures.
The EP features an impressive lineup of guest appearances including Odumodublvck, Bella Shmurda, Phyno, Runtown, Fola, Angelique Kidjo, and Johnny Drille. Each collaboration adds a unique flavor to the project, reflecting Kizz Daniel’s stated desire to move away from solo releases and embrace more creative partnerships. In 2024, he publicly expressed his wish to collaborate more, stating that he was tired of “dropping hits alone.”
Uncle K showcases a range of sounds, from high-energy party anthems to heartfelt tracks that pay tribute to loved ones he has lost. It also features records that celebrate indigenous music styles, affirming his connection to his roots while remaining accessible to a global audience.
The new release follows the success of TZA, the 2024 project that produced viral hits like Twe Twe and Showa. Uncle K was also intended to be part of the singer’s Vado at 10 celebration, a milestone marking a decade of dominance in the Nigerian music scene since his breakthrough with Woju in 2014.
Kizz Daniel has long cemented his place in the pantheon of Afrobeats greats, with acclaimed albums like No Bad Songs and Barnabas, and international smash hits like Buga, a global anthem that inspired dance challenges around the world.
With Uncle K (Lemon Chase), Kizz Daniel continues to evolve while remaining true to the infectious sound that made him a household name. The project is now available on all major streaming platforms.
