Kendrick Lamar Sets New Record for Highest-Grossing Rap Concert With $14.8M Seattle Show

Kendrick Lamar continues to make history in 2025. The Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper just broke his own record for the highest-grossing concert by a rapper with his May 17 show at Lumen Field in Seattle, which pulled in a staggering $14.8 million in revenue.

The concert, which drew a massive crowd of 60,941 fans, is part of Lamar’s ongoing Grand National Tour alongside fellow TDE artist SZA. According to reports from Wealth, a financial news platform, this Seattle show surpassed the previous record of $11.8 million, which Lamar himself set in April at the AT&T Arena in Texas.

This milestone adds to what’s already been a phenomenal year for Kendrick. Back in February, he headlined Super Bowl 59, delivering a career-defining halftime performance that drew 133.5 million viewers, making it the most-watched halftime show in history, edging out Michael Jackson’s legendary 1993 performance.

At the Super Bowl, Lamar became the first solo hip-hop act to headline the show. He thrilled the audience with hits like HUMBLE., Loyalty, and Money Trees, and brought out SZA for their Grammy-nominated collaboration All the Stars. The performance was narrated by Samuel L. Jackson, adding a cinematic edge to the historic set.

Lamar’s winning streak doesn’t stop there. At the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, his song Not Like Us took home five awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year. These wins brought his career Grammy total to 22, placing him just behind Kanye West (24) and Jay-Z (25) on the all-time list for rappers.

With blockbuster concerts, historic performances, and industry accolades all in the same year, Kendrick Lamar is cementing his legacy as one of the greatest and most influential artists of his generation.
