Jude Okoye Opens Up About P-Square’s Revenue Sharing Formula Amid Fraud Allegations

Jude Okoye, the longtime manager of the now-defunct music duo P-Square, has disclosed the details of their revenue-sharing formula following allegations of financial misconduct made by Peter Okoye against him and his brother Paul Okoye. Jude, who managed the group throughout their peak years, revealed that he took 40% of P-Square’s earnings, while Peter and Paul each received 30%.

During an Instagram Live session on Saturday, Jude denied accusations from Peter that he had diverted millions of dollars in royalties into a private account. To counter these claims, Jude explained that he provided all necessary documentation to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to prove the agreed-upon distribution of funds.

He recounted:

“I went to the EFCC office with just Paul. I didn’t go with my lawyer. I gave them all the documents, an officer looked at it and asked if Peter signed. I pointed at his signature for him. I showed him the CAC certificates used in opening both Square Records and Northside Entertainment.”

Jude further elaborated that the EFCC officials confirmed the 40-30-30 split of P-Square’s proceeds, affirming that he was entitled to 40% while the twins shared 60% between them. He also presented a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to the anti-graft agency to prove that this arrangement was mutually agreed upon.

In addition to addressing the financial disputes, Jude provided insight into the longstanding tension between Peter and Paul, which ultimately led to P-Square’s split in 2016. He noted that attempts to reconcile the brothers, including efforts by several prominent Nigerians, had all failed.

“Emeka Offor, the late Ifeanyi Uba, Dantata, Atiku, Peter Obi, governors, ministers, our village king, etc have all tried to reconcile P-Square to no avail,” Jude added.

Despite efforts to reunite the brothers in 2021, unresolved differences have kept them apart, further complicating their relationship and any potential reunion.
