I’m no longer close to Eniola Badmus, others – Funke Akindele

Famous Nigerian actress Funke Akindele recently explained why she is no longer close to Eniola Badmus and other colleagues in the entertainment industry. In an interview on Arise TV, Akindele shared her perspective on maintaining friendships within the industry, noting that her busy schedule leaves little time for serious friendships.

Akindele emphasized that her siblings are her closest friends:

“I think my siblings are my friends. I have people that I’m cordial with, but not serious friendships like that. Because I am always busy with work. And when I am not working, I will be sleeping, watching a movie, chilling with the kids and family.”

She explained her preference for a more private lifestyle:

“I like being in my space. I don’t like going to parties. I run a studio, we film every year and we have movies at cinemas and on streaming platforms including content on YouTube. I’m very busy. So I just get busy with work and my children.”

Akindele clarified that while she maintains cordial relationships with her colleagues, she has specific people she prefers to work with:

“I have cordial relationships with all my colleagues in the industry. But I love working with some particular people.”

When asked specifically about her relationship with Eniola Badmus, with whom she used to be very close, Akindele responded:

“Eniola Badmus cracks me up so much. I love to chill with her. But, we have been so busy with life. Everybody is doing their thing.”

Through her comments, Akindele highlighted the challenges of balancing a demanding career with personal relationships, explaining that her focus remains on her work and family.
