“If They Don’t Hype You, Hype Yourself” – Odumodublvck Celebrates Canadian Tour Success

Odumodublvck continues impressive run with new single 'Not All That'

Rising Nigerian rap star, Odumodublvck, is taking a page out of Davido’s book by proudly celebrating his own wins. After kicking off his Canadian tour on September 22, 2024, with a sold-out show, the rapper took to social media to share a clip from his performance. Captioning it, “If dem no hype you, hype yourself,” Odumodublvck highlighted his growing status as one of Africa’s top Hip Hop acts.

This self-celebratory post mirrors a similar sentiment from Davido just days earlier. The Afrobeats megastar shared the same message on his X account after fans accused Nigerian media of overlooking his recent milestone—his hit single “Unavailable” featuring Musa Keys receiving an RIAA Gold plaque. Davido’s post sent a clear message that he would celebrate his accomplishments, regardless of media recognition.

Odumodublvck, currently in a celebratory mood, recently earned a nomination for the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards, further solidifying his position in the industry. His 2023 album Eziokwu has also achieved an impressive milestone, spending 50 weeks in the Top 10 of Spotify Nigeria’s Album Chart. This makes Eziokwu the only Nigerian rap album to achieve this feat, placing Odumodublvck alongside heavyweights like Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Asake, and Davido.

As Odumodublvck continues to reach new heights, his self-celebration is a testament to the power of believing in oneself and celebrating one’s success, no matter who’s watching.
