“I No Buy Lambo, Is That Why You’re Shouting?” – Burna Boy Claps Back at Sophia Egbueje

The Burna Boy and Sophia Egbueje drama is far from over! Amid the swirling controversy surrounding allegations that Burna Boy promised but failed to buy socialite Sophia Egbueje a Lamborghini truck, the Grammy-winning singer has finally addressed the claims in his signature style.

On February 28, 2025, Burna Boy took to his Instagram Story, singing, “I no buy Lambo, is that why you’re shouting?”—a clear jab at Sophia’s accusations.

How It All Started

Social media erupted on February 27, 2025, after leaked voice notes surfaced, in which Sophia claimed that her friend Ama Reginald and Burna Boy’s friend Manny encouraged her to link up with the singer, assuring her that he was generous with women and had previously gifted Stefflon Don a Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

“She is like, ‘Babe, you should take him seriously. You know it’s him that bought Stefflon Don Cullinan. He actually spends on girls. Just try and take him seriously,” Sophia alleged in the recording.

However, she expressed frustration that Burna Boy allegedly never fulfilled his promise of gifting her a Lamborghini after their romantic involvement. The leaked audio ignited heated debates online about transactional relationships and the social-climbing culture.

Social Media Reacts

Burna Boy’s response only fueled the fire, sparking even more reactions from fans and critics alike:

  • “Grow up, boy. You lied to hit it… promise & fail no be flex!”
  • “A woman is called names when she uses a man, but a man is called smart when he uses a woman. SMH.”
  • “Them go still use this gist to drop a track that will top charts… but you no go still collect shi shi!”
  • “This isn’t even a flex. Both of them should be ashamed for treating relationships like a trade-by-barter deal.”

What’s Next?

With Burna Boy refusing to back down and social media still buzzing, it’s clear that this Lambo drama isn’t dying down anytime soon. Will Sophia fire back? Or will Burna Boy turn this into another hit song? Time will tell!
