Veteran musician Eedris Abdulkareem has expressed his frustration over the worsening hardship in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Comparing the current situation to the era of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, which inspired his famous satirical song “Nigeria JagaJaga,” Abdulkareem believes the present difficulties surpass those times.
In his latest song “Emilokan,” Abdulkareem criticized the Tinubu administration for shifting blame to the previous government instead of addressing the nation’s issues. He highlighted the escalating hardship and insecurity plaguing the country.
Reflecting on the state of the nation, he sang:
“Tinubu government blames Buhari, Buhari government blamed Jonathan. Hunger dey, people dey die. This one don pass JagaJaga. Emilokan oti ebi lokan.”
Through his music, Eedris Abdulkareem continues to voice his concerns about Nigeria’s socio-political landscape, urging for accountability and real solutions to the nation’s pressing problems.
