Drake continues to cement his legacy as one of the most successful artists in music history. The Canadian superstar has just become the artist with the most RIAA-certified Diamond records, a major milestone that further solidifies his dominance in the global music scene.

This historic achievement came after two of his early hits, Hold On, We’re Going Home and Best I Ever Had, crossed the 10 million sales mark in the United States, earning Diamond status from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). These join a growing list of his chart-topping singles that have already achieved Diamond certification, including God’s Plan, One Dance featuring Wizkid and Kyla, Hotline Bling, SICKO MODE with Travis Scott, Life Is Good with Future, Work, Love Me, and No Guidance with Chris Brown.

Drake’s latest milestone comes just weeks after he became the first artist ever to surpass 500 million certified RIAA units across albums, singles, and features, another unprecedented accomplishment in the industry.
This new record underscores Drake’s commercial power, particularly in the United States where he has consistently dominated streaming platforms, radio, and charts. In 2025 alone, he extended his Billboard legacy by breaking The Beatles’ long-standing record for the most cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200.

Drake also recently scored his 14th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, thanks to his joint project with PartyNextDoor titled $ome $exy 4 U. The success placed him in elite company alongside Jay-Z and Taylor Swift, who are all tied for second place in terms of most Billboard No. 1 albums, just five behind The Beatles.

Beyond albums, Drake has tied with Michael Jackson for the most Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 songs by a male solo artist, notching 13 in total. On Spotify, he holds the record for the most songs with over 1 billion streams, an astonishing 16 tracks have crossed that benchmark.

The accolades don’t stop there. Drake was recently named the highest-selling rapper of 2024 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), and he ranked second overall on their global artist list, just behind Taylor Swift. This marks the tenth time Drake has placed in the IFPI’s top 10, and the tenth time he has been crowned the best-selling rapper in the world.
As 2025 unfolds, Drake’s chart-topping legacy shows no signs of slowing down. Whether through streaming dominance, Diamond records, or global rankings, he remains a cultural and commercial force in the music industry.
