Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has addressed the rumors circulating about her alleged romantic relationship with Matthew Ekeinde, the husband of veteran actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde. The speculations suggested that Etiko was involved with Ekeinde and that he had even purchased a luxury car for her.
During an Instagram Live session, Destiny Etiko firmly denied these allegations, calling them baseless and aimed at tarnishing her reputation. She clarified that the rumors originated from a photograph taken with Matthew Ekeinde over four years ago when he was the pilot on a flight she was on.
Etiko explained that the picture was taken out of respect for Ekeinde as the husband of a senior colleague in the industry. She expressed her frustration over the false narrative, emphasizing that she has worked hard for her success and acquisitions.

“I always buy a car on most of my birthdays because I love to change my car every year. Some bitter people just sat down and brought the pictures that I took with Omotola’s husband over four years ago when I was on a flight and he was the pilot…”
Etiko also dismissed the idea that her achievements were a result of financial support from men, asserting that she has earned 99.9% of what she owns through her hard work.
