Afrobeats superstar Davido continues to build momentum for his upcoming fifth studio album ‘5ive’, giving fans in Paris an exclusive live taste of what’s to come.
Following his recent stop in New York, Davido took over La Machine du Moulin Rouge in the heart of Paris on April 15, where he delivered a high-energy performance featuring classic hits and unreleased songs from ‘5ive’. The Grammy-nominated artist left fans buzzing with anticipation ahead of the album’s official release on April 18, 2025.
A highlight of the Paris show was Davido’s interaction with the crowd, as he previewed select tracks while sharing personal insights into the making of the album. The singer also revealed that he co-produced several songs on ‘5ive’, marking a deeper creative involvement in this project compared to previous albums.
“This album is personal,” Davido shared in a recent interview. “I was in the studio for most of it, co-producing and shaping the sound.”
Davido recently unveiled the full tracklist for ‘5ive’, which includes a lineup of heavyweight features both from Nigeria and the international music scene. Among the Nigerian collaborators are Omah Lay, Victony, Odumodublvck, and Chike, while global stars such as Chris Brown, Victoria Monét, Becky G, and YG Marley add international flair.

Fans have already heard a glimpse of the album through singles like ‘Fund’ featuring Chike and Odumodublvck, and the Amapiano-inspired party anthem ‘Be There Still’.
Davido also taps into Caribbean and Francophone markets, featuring Jamaican stars 450 and Shensea, and French hitmakers Dadju and Tayc. South African sensation Musa Keys, who appeared on the global hit ‘Unavailable’ from Timeless, also returns for another collaboration.
During a Twitch livestream hosted by alternative artist Cruel Santino, Davido explained the significance behind the album’s title. He described ‘5ive’ as a milestone project that captures the maturity, evolution, and global influence of his sound after more than a decade at the top of the game.
With the London leg of his listening tour up next, Davido continues to cement his legacy not just as a leader in Afrobeats but as a global music icon.
