Nigerian superstar Davido is set to bring his signature energy to the 2025 Summerjam Festival in Germany, joining Jamaican reggae icon Vybez Kartel as one of the headliners. The highly anticipated event will take place from June 4-6, 2025, and promises to be a star-studded affair with a mix of reggae, dancehall, and Afrobeats.
Davido’s performance comes just a year after Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy headlined the festival, and fans are eagerly awaiting his return to the stage. Alongside him, the 2025 Summerjam Festival will feature other iconic Jamaican acts, including Beenie Man, Morgan Heritage, and many more dancehall and reggae legends.

The year has already kicked off on a high note for Davido, who recently announced the release of his new single, “Be There Still,” dropping on March 15, 2025. The song will be the final release ahead of his highly anticipated album, 5ive, set to drop on April 18, 2025. The album, which will feature 17 tracks (the same number as his previous albums), is expected to showcase a mix of exciting collaborations.
Davido has already shared two singles from the upcoming album: “Awuke” featuring Jamaican dancehall sensation YG Marley and “Funds” with Nigerian artists Chike and OdumoduBlvck. The album 5ive is said to be deeply personal, with Davido describing it as “straight from the heart.”
Fans are also excited for more collaborations on 5ive, including a highly anticipated track with Nigerian superstar Omah Lay. The two artists have teased their partnership, and fans are eager to hear what they’ve cooked up. Additionally, Adekunle Gold recently hinted at a potential appearance on the album, further building the excitement around the project.
Ahead of his headline performance at Summerjam, Davido is also gearing up for the upcoming 17th Headies, where he’ll be competing in six categories, including Artist of the Year. With so much on the horizon, it’s clear that 2025 is shaping up to be another monumental year for the Nigerian artist.
