Producer Napji Accuses Davido of Unpaid Royalties
Nigerian music producer, Napji, has taken to social media to call out Davido, accusing the superstar of not paying royalties for his work on Davido’s hit tracks.
The Allegations
“I am Napji, producer behind Fem, Jowo and Sunlight on @davido album (A better time).Which was released 13th November 2020.
“I was paid an advance of 500 thousand naira for each of the songs. I will be releasing more information as I seek to collect my royalties & publishing.”
According to Napji, he produced some of Davido’s biggest hits, including “Feel” and “Mafa Mafa,” but has yet to receive a dime in royalties.
The Demand
Napji is now threatening to take legal action if things don’t get settled. He’s demanding that Davido pays up or faces the consequences.
