Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tems Secure 2025 NAACP Award Nominations

The Nigerian music scene continues to dominate globally, with top stars Davido, Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tems earning nominations for the prestigious 2025 NAACP Awards. This recognition cements their contributions to Afrobeats and its ever-expanding influence in the global music landscape.

Burna Boy

Burna Boy earned a nod for Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary) for his feature on Usher’s heartfelt track “Coming Home.” The Grammy-winning singer once again proves his ability to bridge cultures through compelling collaborations.

Wizkid

Wizkid’s collaboration with Brent Faiyaz on “Piece of My Heart” landed him nominations for both Outstanding Duo, Group, or Collaboration (Contemporary) and Outstanding International Song. The track’s fusion of smooth R&B and Afrobeat rhythms has been a fan favorite, solidifying Wizkid’s place as an international music heavyweight.

Tems

Tems, known for her evocative vocals and genre-defying style, earned a nomination for Outstanding International Song with “Love Me Jeje,” a standout track from her debut album Born In The Wild. The song highlights her songwriting prowess and emotional depth, making it a strong contender.

Davido
