Nigerian singer Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface, has shared a heartfelt open letter to his former Plantashun Boiz bandmate, Innocent Idibia (2Baba), and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia, amid their ongoing marital crisis.
Taking to social media, Blackface addressed the couple, urging them to handle their separation with dignity and civility. He reminded them of their influence as public figures and role models, emphasizing the need for composure during this trying period.
In his letter, Blackface wrote:
“My open letter to Innocent Idibia and Annie Macaulay Idibia. I bid to you both good tidings, Mr. & Mrs. Idibia. I am reaching out to you guys in this time to remind us to show decorum and be civil with whatever proceedings you may be going through.”
The dancehall artist, who has also experienced separation, advised that all relationships face challenges and encouraged the couple to avoid airing their personal struggles in public. He stressed the importance of setting a good example for their fans and the younger generation.
“As role models, we should always set good examples for this generation to emulate and for the older generations to be proud of. Let’s keep it together in the family as every relationship has its ups and downs.”
Concluding his message, Blackface expressed his prayers for the couple, hoping they find the strength to navigate their separation amicably.
“I pray God gives you both the strength to scale through this. My regards to your families and my love to your kids. With Love ❤️ Blackfacenaija.”
Blackface’s letter comes amidst heightened public interest in 2Baba and Annie’s marriage, which has faced several controversies over the years. Fans will be watching closely to see how the situation unfolds.
