Bien Teams Up with Adekunle Gold for an Exciting New Single: ‘Wahala’

Award-winning sensation Bien teams up with Adekunle Gold for new single

Kenyan music sensation Bien is making waves with his latest single, ‘Wahala,’ featuring Nigerian Afrobeats star Adekunle Gold and rising talent ShineTTW. This new track is not just a highlight but the standout piece on the deluxe edition of Bien’s fresh album, Alusa, Why Are You Topless—poised to be the ultimate summer anthem.

‘Wahala,’ which translates to ‘trouble’ or ‘drama’ in Nigerian Pidgin English, is a vibrant fusion of sounds. The track combines a Kenyan-inspired drum pattern with South African log drums and dynamic Nigerian percussion, all masterfully produced by Remy Baggins. The result? An irresistible beat that’s bound to get you dancing and celebrating the beauty of African rhythms.

This stellar collaboration brings together two of Africa’s finest, creating a musical homage to the continent’s diverse soundscapes. Bien reflects on the experience, saying, “Any time a King from the East meets a King from the West, it is ‘Wahala’.” Adekunle Gold echoes this sentiment, sharing, “Making this song with my brother was such an enjoyable process.”

Bien, known for his role in the renowned Kenyan Afro-Pop band Sauti Sol, is making his mark with his debut solo album, Alusa, Why Are You Topless?. This album has already amassed over 70 million streams and topped charts across East Africa. The deluxe edition, which includes ‘Wahala,’ adds five new tracks and features collaborations with other African superstars like Fally Ipupa and Rayvanny.

‘Wahala’ is a celebration of African music and promises to be a dance floor hit. With Bien’s upcoming tour set to bring the party to the US and Europe in July and August, you’ll want to check out ‘Wahala’ on all streaming platforms now.
