Ayra Starr is keeping her foot on the gas in 2025, and her latest move has fans buzzing with excitement. The Afrobeats sensation recently teased a brand-new song featuring none other than Grammy-winning megastar Wizkid.
The snippet, shared across her social media on April 17, gives fans a taste of what to expect from the track titled god damn. And just like that, the internet lit up. The collaboration marks another link-up between the two stars, following their fan-favorite track 2 Sugar off Wizkid’s More Love, Less Ego album.

It’s been a whirlwind year for Ayra Starr already. She recently dropped the video for her single All The Love, continuing a streak of strong releases and visual storytelling.
The upcoming Wizkid feature adds to what’s shaping up to be another defining year for the singer, who’s quickly cementing her place as one of the most influential voices in African pop music. In 2024, she topped Spotify’s Global Impact List, credited for helping push 30 Nigerian songs to a global audience, thanks in part to her standout appearance on Rvssian’s hit single Santa.
Her sophomore album The Year I Turned 21 was a commercial and critical hit, featuring standout tracks like Commas and Woman Commando with Coco Jones and Aniita. The project also played a key role in Ayra’s historic MOBO Award win earlier this year.
Now, with god damn on the horizon and eight nominations at the upcoming 17th Headies, including Album of the Year and Artist of the Year, Ayra Starr shows no signs of slowing down.
If this new teaser is anything to go by, fans should brace themselves for another major moment in Afrobeats history.
