Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr has teased potential collaborations with fellow global sensations Tems and Tyla, sparking excitement among fans.
In a red carpet interview at the 2025 MOBO Awards, Ayra Starr was asked about working with the two Grammy-winning artists, especially after they were spotted together in Lagos during the Detty December festivities. She confirmed that a collaboration is in the works, referring to them as “the girls” and hinting at an upcoming project.
Ayra Starr had a historic night at the MOBO Awards, where she won Best International Act, becoming the first Nigerian female artist to achieve this feat. She edged out heavyweights like Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and GloRilla to claim the award, which had previously been won by Burna Boy and Wizkid. She also took home the Best African Act award, further solidifying her status as one of Africa’s most influential artists.
Since her breakout in 2021 with her self-titled debut EP, Ayra Starr has consistently delivered hits, including ‘Bloody Samaritan’ and ‘Rush’, both of which have gone diamond in France. She kicked off 2025 with her latest single, ‘All The Love’, a blend of Afrobeats and R&B that showcases her signature style.
Following her record-breaking success in 2024, where she had the biggest Afrobeats song on Spotify, Ayra Starr looks set to continue her dominance in 2025—and with possible collaborations with Tems and Tyla on the horizon, fans have plenty to look forward to.
