In a thrilling achievement, Asake’s third studio album, Lungu Boy, has been named the biggest album of 2024. This accolade was revealed by TurnTable Charts in their annual year-end report, solidifying the star’s dominance in the Nigerian music scene.

Released on August 8, 2024, Lungu Boy amassed an impressive 214.4 million streams (equivalent to 143,000 units), topping the charts and earning widespread acclaim.

The album features high-profile collaborations with Nigerian Grammy winner Wizkid, British rap sensations Stormzy and Central Cee, and Brazilian artist Ludmilla. With Lungu Boy, Asake made a clear statement about his ambition to reach a larger global audience while staying true to his signature style.

According to TurnTable Charts, Lungu Boy garnered more attention and acclaim on streaming platforms than any other album in 2024. Its success reflects Asake’s ability to craft music that resonates deeply with fans and cements his place as a powerhouse in Afrobeats.

  4. Asake’s 2023 sophomore album, Work of Art, ranked fifth, continuing to captivate listeners with tracks like “Lonely At The Top” and “Remember.”
