The family of Nigerian music star Asake has made fresh demands following accusations from his father, Fatai Odunsi, claiming the singer abandoned him after falling ill in 2022.
In a newly surfaced video, a woman speaking on behalf of the family urged Asake to buy a ₦50 million house in Isale Eko, which would generate rental income to support his father.
Beyond financial support, the family also demanded that Asake take responsibility for his alleged 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, and support her mother. They further requested a DNA test to confirm paternity, stating that the child’s mother had agreed to the procedure.
“Asake, come and buy a ₦50 million house for your father so he can collect rent to feed. No matter how much Nigerians donate, what you contribute will matter more. Also, come and take care of your 11-year-old daughter and her mother. If you are in doubt, a DNA test can be done,” the family stated in the video.
Asake’s Response
The singer had earlier reacted to his father’s accusations with a cryptic Yoruba freestyle, suggesting an attempt to manipulate him despite his generosity.
The unfolding drama has sparked debate online, with fans divided over the family’s demands and Asake’s responsibilities.
