Asake Earns New UK Certifications

Nigerian superstar and Grammy-nominated singer Asake continues his remarkable rise, earning two new certifications in the United Kingdom thanks to the enduring success of his debut album, Mr. Money With The Vibe.

Released in 2022, the album has now achieved Brit Gold certification, marking Asake’s first gold album plaque in the UK. Fueled by chart-topping hits like Sungba, Organise, and Jowo, the album enjoyed massive success, including reaching the top spot on the UK Apple Music Album chart.

Adding to his accolades, Asake’s hit single Sungba has earned a Brit Silver plaque, further cementing his commercial success in the UK. His influence in the region is evident, with headline performances at major venues, including the iconic O2 Arena.

Asake’s journey to stardom began in January 2022 with the release of Omo Ope, a chart-topping collaboration with Olamide. His debut album, which later won Album of the Year at the 2023 Headies, solidified his place as a force in Nigerian music. He followed up with the critically acclaimed Work of Art and his recent hit single Lungu Boy.

Beyond his music, Asake has become a cultural icon. Following his recent departure from YBNL, the artist debuted new body art, including facial tattoos and piercings, sparking mixed reactions among fans.

Asake has teased new music for 2025, hinting at a continuation of his hit-making streak. Fans eagerly await the next chapter from the era-defining star who has kept listeners captivated for three years.
