Afrobeats fans are in for a treat as Adekunle Gold has teased a possible collaboration on Davido’s highly anticipated fifth studio album, 5ive.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page, AG Baby dropped a cryptic post that strongly suggests he will be featured on the project. Adding fuel to the speculation, photos of the two stars in the studio have surfaced online, hinting at what could be their second official collaboration.
Adekunle Gold and Davido previously joined forces on the 2021 smash hit High, a standout track from AG’s fourth album, Catch Me If You Can. Additionally, AG Gold contributed to Davido’s A Good Time album by penning the fan-favorite song 1 Milli.
With 5ive set to drop on March 15, 2025, excitement is already at an all-time high. Davido has described the project as his best work yet, following the massive success of Timeless, which earned him his first Grammy nominations.
The album is expected to feature several star-studded collaborations, including a track with Omah Lay, which the Soso singer recently confirmed in an interview. Previously released singles like Awuke featuring YG Marley and Funds featuring Chike and OdumoduBlvck have already given fans a taste of what’s to come.
