OdumoduBlvck Declares Himself the New Olamide Baddo

Nigerian rap sensation OdumoduBlvck has boldly declared himself the “new Olamide Baddo”, drawing comparisons to the legendary rapper and hitmaker.

The fast-rising star made this statement on his X (formerly Twitter) page on March 14, 2025, shortly after his latest feature on Wizard Chan’s new single, ‘Flako’. His claim comes as no surprise, given his growing influence as one of Nigeria’s most sought-after rappers, whose guest appearances have consistently turned songs into hits—similar to the impact Olamide has had over the years.

OdumoduBlvck’s dominance in Nigerian rap was further cemented with eight nominations at the upcoming 17th Headies Awards, solidifying his status as a force in the industry.

The rapper has had an eventful 2025, dropping multiple singles in anticipation of his forthcoming album, ‘The Machine’. Among these is the hit ‘Pity This Boy’ featuring Victony, which has been making waves across streaming platforms and social media.

He also collaborated with his Antiworld Gangsters crew on the joint project ‘Nothing Change’, featuring a special guest appearance from Olamide on the track ‘Jegede’.

OdumoduBlvck’s meteoric rise began with his breakout single ‘Picanto’ featuring Zlatan, but it was ‘Declan Rice’ that truly put him on the global map. The track, named after the English footballer, gained international recognition when it was used to unveil Declan Rice as Arsenal’s record-breaking signing.

His unique sound and raw energy have earned him praise from global hip-hop heavyweights like Skepta, Stormzy, and Rick Ross, further solidifying his influence beyond Nigeria.

With his upcoming album ‘The Machine’, OdumoduBlvck is set to build on the success of his 2023 project, ‘Eziokwu’, one of the most successful Nigerian rap albums in the streaming era. As he continues his ascent, fans eagerly anticipate whether he will truly live up to the legendary Baddo comparison.
