Nigerian music continues to dominate the global stage as Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, and Lojay secure nominations for the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. Their impressive recognition highlights the ongoing rise of Afrobeats and its growing influence worldwide.

Davido and Lojay have been nominated for Best R&B Song for their contributions to Chris Brown’s hit track, “Sensational.” This category also features South African star Tyla with her viral hit “Water,” Coco Jones with “ICU,” Muni Long with “Made for Me,” and Brent Faiyaz with “WY@”.

Burna Boy and Tems, two Grammy-winning powerhouses, have both been nominated for World Artist of the Year, a category celebrating global impact. South African sensation Tyla leads the African contingent with three nominations, including Best Dance Song for the remix of “Water” with Marshmello. Her presence, alongside Burna Boy, Tems, Davido, and Lojay, underscores Africa’s expanding influence in the global music industry.

The awards ceremony is set to take place on Monday, March 17, at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on FOX. With these nominations, Nigerian and African music are poised to take center stage, further cementing their place in the global music conversation.
