Global streaming giant Apple Music has unveiled its list of African artists to watch in 2025, and Nigerian sensations Kaestyle and Fola are among the promising talents highlighted.
The Africa Rising program, launched in 2020, has consistently spotlighted the continent’s best emerging acts, helping them reach global audiences. Notable alumni include Tems, Ayra Starr, Rema, Amaarae, and Omah Lay. This year’s class introduces a fresh wave of talent, including Kaestyle, Fola, Kenyan indie-soul artist Njerae, South African singer-songwriter Lusanda, and Ghanaian beatmaker AratheJay.

Kaestyle soared in 2024 with his hit track “My Dealer” featuring Omah Lay, one of the year’s standout songs. Reacting to the recognition, he said:
“It feels great to be seen, like a medal for all the hard work. My fans should expect more great music in 2025—more singles, and maybe even a full body of work.”
Fola: From Breakout EP to Global Aspirations
Fola made waves with his EP “What A Feeling”, particularly the hit track “Alone,” which featured successful remixes with BNXN and Badboy OML. Expressing gratitude for his inclusion, he said:
“Being selected for the Africa Rising Class of 2025 is a true privilege. I’m focused on strengthening my presence in Nigeria while pushing boundaries to create music that resonates globally. Expect something truly special this year.”
Building the Next African Superstars
