Fireboy shares cinematic visuals for 'Ecstacy' featuring Seun Kuti

Award-winning Nigerian star Fireboy DML has kicked off 2025 with a bang, releasing the vibrant music video for “Ecstacy”, a standout track from his critically acclaimed fourth album, Adedamola.

A Cinematic Spectacle

The visuals for “Ecstacy,” directed by ace cinematographer Olu The Wave, were released on January 14, 2025. The video is a dazzling display of color and movement, featuring energetic dancers set against vibrant Lagos backdrops that perfectly capture the song’s upbeat and dynamic vibe.

This release marks the fourth music video from the Adedamola album, following previous hits “Yawa,” “Back and Forth” featuring Lagbaja, and “Iseoluwa.”

Collaboration with Seun Kuti

“Ecstacy” is enriched by the electrifying horns of Afrobeat icon Seun Kuti, whose contribution adds depth and vibrancy to the track’s infectious melodies. Speaking on the collaboration, Fireboy shared that the idea to feature Seun Kuti came from his mentor and YBNL boss Olamide, who suggested that the song needed some horns to elevate its sound.

Fireboy’s Global Rise

Fireboy continues to build on his legacy as one of the leading voices in the global Afrobeat wave. Following the massive success of his fourth album in 2024, Fireboy’s 2025 campaign is already off to a strong start.

Since his breakout with Laughter, Tears, and Goosebumps, Fireboy has consistently delivered chart-topping hits, including the Billboard Hot 100 charting remix of “Peru” featuring Ed Sheeran.

Accolades and Impact

Fireboy’s impact on Nigerian and global music is undeniable. His accolades include becoming:

  • The second artist to win five Headies Awards in a single night.
  • The first Nigerian artist to perform at the main stage of the BET Awards.

As Fireboy continues to push boundaries, fans can expect more stunning visuals, groundbreaking collaborations, and timeless music in 2025.
