Runtown’s Legacy: A Decade of Hits

Runtown, one of Nigeria’s most iconic hitmakers, has solidified his place in Afrobeats history. His debut album, Ghetto University (2015), delivered unforgettable tracks like “Gallardo” featuring Davido and “Bend Down Pause” featuring Wizkid, catapulting him to stardom.

In 2017, he released the timeless hit “Mad Over You,” a song that remains a hallmark in Afrobeats’ rich discography. His ability to blend infectious melodies with heartfelt lyrics has earned him a loyal fanbase.

Following the release of his third studio album, Signs (2022), Runtown stepped away from the spotlight for two years. This break, characteristic of his enigmatic persona, allowed the star to focus on his artistry while maintaining his reputation for delivering quality music.
