Funke Akindele Predicts Record-Breaking Success for Everybody Loves Jenifa

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has set an ambitious goal for her upcoming movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, projecting it to earn an impressive ₦5 billion upon release.

In a video shared online featuring some cast members of the movie, Akindele confidently declared:

“We are making N5 billion this year.”

If achieved, this milestone would surpass the record set by her previous film, A Tribe Called Judah, which became the first Nigerian movie to gross over ₦1 billion in box office earnings.

Expectations and Star Power

Everybody Loves Jenifa features an exciting lineup of Nollywood stars, including Lagbaja, D’banj, and Funke Akindele herself. The film is expected to deliver a unique mix of comedy, music, and drama, which could attract massive audiences during the holiday season.

The record-breaking projection reflects the growing global appeal and financial potential of Nollywood films. Akindele’s track record of delivering box-office hits bolsters confidence in the success of Everybody Loves Jenifa.
