Oxlade Earns First RIAA Gold Certification with ‘Ku Lo Sa’

Nigerian Afrobeat star Oxlade has achieved a major career milestone by earning his first-ever RIAA Gold certification in the United States for his hit song, Ku Lo Sa. This significant achievement marks him as one of the few Nigerian artists to reach this level, with the certification awarded to songs that surpass 500,000 units sold in the US.

Ku Lo Sa has been a global sensation, garnering more than 400 million streams on Spotify and over 187 million views across its music videos on YouTube. The track reached No. 5 on the Billboard Afrobeats Chart and earned certifications in multiple countries, including France, Canada, the UK, and Nigeria, among others.

The song, which is part of Oxlade’s debut album Oxlade From Africa, has not only propelled his fame but also cemented his place as a leading voice in the Afrobeat genre. The album features collaborations with popular artists like Wande Coal, Flavour, and Popcaan, showcasing Oxlade’s versatility and global appeal.

With this RIAA certification, Oxlade joins an exclusive club of Nigerian musicians such as CKay, whose Love Nwantiti achieved 7x platinum status, further demonstrating the international recognition and influence of Nigerian music on the global stage.

Fans and industry players alike have celebrated this achievement, recognizing it as a landmark moment for Afrobeat and a testament to Oxlade’s rising stardom.
