Nigerian singer Sydney Esiri, popularly known as Dr Sid, has confirmed his relocation to the United States. The “Over The Moon” hitmaker shared the news during an appearance on the No Man’s Friend podcast, where he revealed that he moved to the U.S. after securing a job with a New York-based company.
Dr Sid explained that although his job allowed him to live anywhere in the U.S., he chose Houston, Texas, due to having family there and his best friend living in the city. He has now been living and working in Houston for over a year and a half.
Dr Sid gained fame in 2002 as a member of Da Trybe and went on to release multiple successful projects. Over his career, he transitioned from dentistry to music, signing with Don Jazzy’s Mo’ Hits Records and later with Mavin Records.
