Davido Ends Feud with Amaju Pinnick, Headlines 2024 Warri Again Show

Nigerian music sensation Davido made a grand return to the stage at the annual Warri Again comedy and music show, headlining the 2024 edition. This performance marked the end of a publicized dispute between Davido and businessman Amaju Pinnick, former NFF President, which originated in 2023 when Davido failed to perform at the show as initially agreed.

Amaju Pinnick sued the Grammy-nominated artist for ₦2 billion, citing breach of contract. The fallout became public, with both sides trading words on social media. Davido criticized Pinnick for using his image to promote the event despite his notice of unavailability.

The conflict was eventually resolved out of court, paving the way for reconciliation. As a gesture of goodwill, Davido invited Pinnick and his wife to his wedding earlier in 2024. Their relationship appears to be back on good terms, with Davido headlining the recent edition of Warri Again.

The show, held on October 9, 2024, featured performances from comedians like De Stalker, who hosted the event, and musicians including Oritsefemi, Odumodublvck, Fave, Shallipopi, and Phyno. Davido closed the night with electrifying performances of his hits, including “Unavailable,” a Grammy-nominated track from his record-breaking album Timeless.

His Warri Again appearance comes on the heels of his successful launch of an athleisure collection and sneakers in partnership with Puma. Davido is also expected to end the year on a high note with an upcoming collaboration with Jamaican star YG Marley.
